'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League homecoming

Kane marks his 100th goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has revealed that his interest in coming back to the Premier League has lessened and he is willing to explore a new agreement with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is at the moment midway through the four-year agreement he agreed to when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the offseason of 2023.

The experienced forward has accumulated an outstanding 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German club, playing a key role in them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which marked the first important honor of his illustrious career.

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has earlier expressed that he would welcome to see Kane return to England, where he lacks 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring record of 260.

However, the England leader has now clarified that he is no longer as keen about returning home as he earlier was, and would certainly think about prolonging his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of staying longer, I could certainly see that," he remarked.

"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be willing to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so progresses and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not considering about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have realized in my career is that different options and different periods happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."

Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the historic top marksman for both Tottenham and England and recently became the fastest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five leagues, attaining the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had escaped him until he lifted the German title last season.

Kane states that he was not sure how he would respond after breaking his trophy barren spell, but now feels it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.

"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Looking Ahead

  • Continued success with Bayern Munich is Kane's main focus
  • The possibility of a Premier League return has considerably decreased
  • New contract discussions could begin in the coming future
  • Kane's exceptional goal-scoring form continues to amaze
